Each foster home will be provided with a foster box. This was discussed in the Foster Toolbox tab. This page will give details about the types of items that are included.
A foster home parents can order the package through our ticketing process. A foster home will get a package for each dog fostered. If your current foster pet is placed and you have accepted a new foster, be sure to order your next box.
Some items come as standard in the box, however, a la carte items can be selected with up to 7 options.
Preventatives
Every foster box gets 2 months of preventatives. Preventative types and brands may vary to please check and verify if Heartworm and Flea and Tick are separate or a combined version. Additional preventatives can be ordered through our ticket system for dogs who require staying in the foster home longer term.
All MAD Rescue dogs should be kept on preventatives at all times.
Dog Identification Tags
Each box will come standard with a dog identification tag. Our foster dogs should be tagged at all times.

This is an example of the foster box menu that foster parents can select from. Up to a la carte items can be selected.
Preventatives, ID tags, instruction cards, and freebies are included in each box.
Microchips can be selected but do not count towards the item limit.
Leash
Foster parents who need a leash can select one from the menu. We provide 6 ft nylon leashes. Brands can vary, however, we provide Max and Neo most often.
Collars
Another option is a martingale collar. These come in various sizes. As a foster parent you can select the proper size. Brands can vary, however, we provide Max and Neo most often.
Slip Leads
Slip leads can be selected in anticipation of a transport. A separate ticket can be filled out at a later time for just a slip lead for transport when needed.
Plushies
We have a wide variety of plushies available. These will be provided based on what we have on hand at the time. MAD Rescue works with a variety of companies for donations and wholesale pricing which impacts what we are offering in our boxes at any given time.
Balls
Additionally we have a variety of balls available. Foster parents can select 1 or 2 balls that will go towards their 7 item allocation.
Treats
We have a variety of treats that we offer at any given time. We quite often use Lean Treats that are veterinarian recommended. Please let us know if your foster pet has been identified as having a good allergy.
Tugs and Sticks
Is your foster pet a nut for sticks or fetching? Another option is our assorted sticks and bumpers. Our inventory will vary from time to time and not all items are available all the time. Up to one of this category can be selected from the menu.
Long Lasting Chews
Foster parents can select up to two of this category. This category includes things such as dried or freeze dried duck or chicken feet, pizzlies, and esophagus.
Tough Chewer Toys
We have a variety of touch chewers toys available. Picture is an example of some of our selection. Foster parents can select up to one touch chewer item as they typically have a higher price point.
Content Card
Our box will come with a content card pictured above.
Thank you and Freebies
Most boxes will include some Freebies when we have them in stock. Freebies include items like stickers, magnets, pens, patches, coupons, and other items.
FI Collar Instructions
A FI collar instruction card is included in your foster box. If you do not receive your FI collar card it will be included with your FI collar shipment, if coming separate, or your foster handbook.
