We Support our Den Parents

What does this mean?

Foster parents, also known as MAD Den Parents, receive support during their fostering experience. Please read below to learn about the types of support, tools and programs that we have. MAD rescue is about our family and forever connections. We are there for the foster parent at every step of the process.

The Program

The following are just a few of the programs you can expect to receive with MAD Rescue.

The MAD PACKage

The foster box program is a unique program exclusive to MAD Rescue. Each foster gets a MAD PACKage shipped to them. Boxes can be ordered through your volunteer contact or our ticket system. Each package is al a carte and can be customized through the ticketing process.

You may be asking yourself, what might I get in a MAD PACKage? Packages contain treats, toys, chew bones, collars, leashes, dog ID tags, preventatives, and more.

Petcademy Training Support

Each foster family will be signed up for a 30 day free training program through Petcademy.

Petcademy is a text and email based training program where foster parents can ask unlimited questions. Questions are answered by trained and professional animal behaviorist.

The Petcademy program also offers other tools such as videos, articles, and blogs.

Facebook Den Parents Page

Our MAD Rescue Den Parents page is a private and exclusive page for all of our Den Parents to collaborate and share stories. Our volunteers are also members and can answer questions and lend support.

Already approved Den Parents can find the page here:

GPS Tracking Collars

Each of our dogs will be outfitted with a GPS locator collar. MAD Rescue has partnered with companies such as FI and Tractiv.

What is a GPS collar? A GPS collar is peace of mind for the foster and the rescue. It allows both to track a foster dog no mater where it is or time of day. These collars increase the safety of the dog and make fostering worry free.

Collars can be ordered through your volunteer or our ticket system.

The MAD Rescue Help Ticket System

Many services can be obtained through our MAD Rescue Help ticket system.

The following can be found in the system:

  • Ordering an A La Carte MAD PACKage or foster box.
  • We pay for vet bills at the time of service with a credit card. As a foster, if you had to pay the bill, you can fill out a ticket requesting reimbursement. An itemized receipt will need to be uploaded with the ticket request.
  • Preventatives. The MAD PACKage includes 2 months of preventatives. For longer term fosters you can place another ticket for additional preventatives.
  • Assistance with setting up a veterinarian appointment.

Please access the ticket system via the website: https://madrescuehelp.org/webhd/
